Fruit is netted individually and packed in a single layer. On a large, thin-skinned pomegranate that sleeve is what carries the fruit through handling without pressure marking — which is why it is agreed with the order rather than left to the packhouse.

Growing regions
Saveh, Neyriz, Ferdows, Yazd and Badrud are growing regions before they are names on a label. The trees differ from one region to the next, and so does the fruit — which is why this range is set out by region rather than by variety.
Deep red, large and balanced. The established Iranian export pomegranate, and the reference point for the other four.
The size profile. Red to crimson, firm and thick-skinned, with the highest soluble solids in the range.
The lowest aril yield of the five, and the largest, firmest, thickest-skinned fruit. It is bought for presentation, not for processing.
Large red fruit with a wide aril-yield range and a firm structure built for distribution.
The outlier. Very large, sweeter, lighter in skin, and the highest aril and juice yields of the five.

The aril is the product. Yield, colour and seed texture are what a buyer is really specifying.

Saveh, Neyriz and Ferdows sit at or above 18 °Brix. Yazd and Badrud sit at 16 — 17. That gap is the clearest dividing line in the range.
Aril yield is the share of the whole fruit that is edible aril; juice yield is the share that presses out. Both are measured on the fruit, which is why a large profile does not automatically lead on either.
Figures describe commercial profiles and are confirmed per lot and season. Neyriz trades yield for size — the lowest aril yield of the five, bought for presentation rather than processing. Yazd leads on both yields, which for fresh-cut and juice programmes is worth more than the two Brix points it gives away.
